SolidWorks references not finding the right files in sub folders

Problem

A S0lidWorks assembly is not finding the right sub assemblies in sub-folders.

Solution

Ensure that the Include sub-folders setting is enabled to allow searching for references in sub folders.

1. Open SolidWorks.
2. Navigate to Tools > Options > System Options > External References.
3. Check the box for Include sub-folders.
