Vistapoint November 2024 Release Notes 2024.1.2.1201

The updates in November focused on MyWork performance improvements, document numbering, and better reference management.

Desktop

• Improvement: MyWork store local info in local database for better performance.
• Improvement: MyWork reload only selected workspaces for better performance.
• Improvement: Download latest version on discard. When discarding checked out changes, the latest version from the archive will be downloaded to ensure you are working with the latest versions.
• Improvement: Import lower level files first before assemblies in MyWork. On import, lower level parts and assemblies will be import before the main assembly if files are located within the VistapointLocal folder area. This ensures that references will remain intact and viewable in Vistapoint.
• New feature: Added search by document number. If numbers are automatically created, you can search by the numbers in the document search.
• Fixed issue: Fixed calling function from web app to automatically get session info if logged in.

Web app

• New feature: View previous version information share link in web app.
• New feature: Show similar files tab (STEP, PDF) on web app with search by name in workspace.
• New feature: Added Expand All dropdown selection in web app references view.
• New feature: Added search by document number.
• Improvement: Added long file name preview on hover.

Server

• New feature: Automatically create numbering rules. This allows you to create incremental part numbers automatically. To learn more follow the article:

Integrations

• New feature: Added single click STP, PDF for Inventor files.
• Improvement: Improved the Inventor file analysis tool when analyzing Inventor drawings.
