How to install the Siemens NX Vistapoint Add-in

1. Download and install the Siemens NX Add-in installation file.
2. Open Siemens NX.
3. Right click on the toolbar menu and select Customize.
4. Select the tab Tabs/Bars.
5. On the right, click New….
6. Add a new tab called “Vistapoint”.
7. Under the Commands tab, select New Item on the left > then New User Command on the right. Drag and drop the item New User Command to the new Vistapoint tab.
8. Right click the new User Command button > Edit Action.
9. Select NX Open from the dropdown on the top right.
10. Enter the following:
    Enter an action or use browse: C:\Program Files\Open Domain\Vistapoint\FileManagers\SiemensNXManager\OcmNxLib.dll
    Enter Button Message: Import
    Enter Action Arguments (lowercase): import
11. Click Ok.
12. Right click the button again and select Change Icon > Icon name….
13. Browse for the icon file: C:\Program Files\Open Domain\OCM AddOns\Siemens NX\Images\DmsSaveToArchive16.bmp
14. Right click the button again and in the name field, enter: Import
15. Repeat steps 7-14 for the following actions.
    

    Check-out

    • Enter Button Message: Check-out
    • Enter Action Arguments (lowercase): checkout
    • Image file: C:\Program Files\Open Domain\OCM AddOns\Siemens NX\Images\DmsCheckout16.bmp
    • Name field: Check-out

Check-in

  • Enter Button Message: Check-in
  • Enter Action Arguments (lowercase): checkin
  • Image file: C:\Program Files\Open Domain\OCM AddOns\Siemens NX\Images\DmsCheckin16.bmp
  • Name field: Check-in

Check-out Refs
