Vistapoint December 2024/January 2025 Release Notes

The updates in December/January focused on better large file upload/download, better progress feedback, and managing checked out/added references.

Desktop

• Improvement: chunk uploading for better performance and feedback.
• Improvement: Import, checkin, and analysis feedback. Now when you import, checkin, or analyze files you will see a new window that indicates the progress.
• Improvement: When you check in an assembly and have a sub part that is also checked out, a dialog will show asking if you would like to checkin the sub parts as well.
• Improvement: Improved document properties view. Now when you view the properties of a document you will see the reference tree and image of the document.
• Fixed issue: Fixed session conflicts if logging in with a different user and calling a function from the web app or CAD software.
• New feature: You can now check out references of an assembly. In the MyWork tab, select a checked out file > More > Check-out References. This will then show you the tree view of the assembly to check out references.

Web app

• Improvement: Better upload of large files support. Now when you upload large files, you will be able to see the progress.
• Improvement: Better download support for large files.
• Improvement: Better responsiveness for longer file names on mobile and smaller devices.

Server

• Improvement: Support for large file upload and download.

Integrations

• New feature: Added check out references for the Catia Add-in. Now when a file is edited in Catia, click Check-out Refs to check out the edited parts from Vistapoint.
