How to edit/check-out documents
UpdatedApril 18, 2025
You can make changes to documents with the check-out check-in process. To make a change,
- Select a document.
- Click Edit > Check-out (Edit, open) . This opens the document and unlocks it for edits.
- Edit the document.
- When you are done making changes, you can check-in the document. To manage multiple changes and check-in several changes at once, check-in from the MyWork tab on the Vistapoint desktop app.
- Add a change comment to describe what changed.
- Click Check-in. A new version of the document will be uploaded to Vistapoint. On the web app, you can view the version history by selecting the document, clicking more info or clicking the file name, and selecting Versions.
